About the role

Are you looking for a new challenge or the next step in your career is leadership? We are looking for a highly experienced commercial/mid-market broker to join a reputable insurance broker located in the inner South East. Stunning offices, close to public transport, and offering an excellent culture and employee benefits.

Not only will you manage a small Commercial portfolio, you will also be responsible for leading an established and experienced team on Account Managers.

As the Team Lead – Commercial Division, you will contribute to business objectives by identifying new business opportunities whilst retaining existing clients. This role will also support the CEO and MD’s on a range of broad responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

Manage an existing portfolio of accounts, focused on converting new business opportunities in the team
Working closely with the team on the more complex accounts in the department
Working with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure cross-sell opportunities are maximised
Lead performance reviews, reporting and P&L
Be involved in board presentations, tenders and new business prospects

Key skills and experience


Strong communicator across all stakeholder levels
Tier 1 qualified with experience managing a portfolio of mid-market accounts
Sound technical knowledge of commercial insurance policies
Prior track record of achieving growth and retention targets
Strong negotiation skills
Experience and capability to mentor and lead others
