Our client is a large Steadfast Broking Group based within central Perth.
Very near to a train station in Grade A offices.
Clients range from the small individual tradesman to major national clients within construction, property, mining services and hospitality.
This broker prides themselves on being truly “client focussed” and being seen to be pro active in dealing with both clients and the insurer markets.
They now seek a Claims Professional.
Not a typical claims professional, but someone who shares their values of putting the client first.
The company recognises that a poor claims service can lose clients, where a first class service not only helps retain clients but wins new as well.
In this role, you will not be a transactional claims broker, you will make a difference !
You will take on and run an existing manageable portfolio of claims with the unswaying belief of settling the claim in the clients favour within agreed timelines.
You will maintain constant dialog with the client and third parties to ensure the client never needs to chase up & ask “whats happening with our claim” ?
You will create strong relationships with the client, and you will maintain and enhance your existing relationships with insurers and claims adjustors.
You will be pro active with the client, preferring to meet rather than discuss important issues via email.
You will have structure to your workload and prioritise as necessary.
You will recognise being part of a claims team, asking for help when needed but also helping your team when it’s required.
You will create close relationships with the brokers ensuring they are fully aware of the claim in it’s progression.
This role calls for a highly personable claims professional with at least 5 plus years experience.
You must have good all round knowledge of GI products and policy wordings, which you can clearly interpret & discuss with clients in a way that they understand it.
You must enjoy the claims process and like to celebrate successfully settling claims on behalf of your clients.
Strong negotiation skills are a must.
The ability to build positive working relationships on a face to face basis are also essential as you may also be asked to be the “claims face” for the company when presenting to large prospects.
Lastly, the ability to offer advice and engage with less experienced team members would be beneficial.
