We are currently working with a WA-based brokerage who are looking for a talented new Account Executive to join their expanding team;

About the company:

This brokerage is a Perth-based insurance brokerage with a team of around 20 staff members. Key responsibilities

Account Executive:

This position requires someone with existing broking experience, to join their team assisting on a portfolio that consists of commercial and corporate accounts, specialising in a variety of industries. This role is a great opportunity for someone to gain exposure to large complex accounts and sectors such as mining and resources, technology, professional services, business insurance and more. The role will be focused on supporting and being mentored by the Account Manager, with the goal to have the successful candidate be trained to a position of eventually managing their own portfolio in the future.

Key skills and experience

About you:

Existing general insurance broking experience is a must for this position, ideally 4 plus years. Experience in any general insurance broking sector is fine, no specific industry exposure is required.
Tier 1 qualified
Ambitious and career-driven personality with clear professional goals
Can-do attitude with a strong interest in learning and development
Ability to listen and take instructions, as well as work autonomously and use initiative
Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal, as well as the ability to build relationships and connect with people face-to-face
Friendly personality and ability to work well with a team
