We are working with a small specialist boutique broking group with offices in Perth, Brisbane & Sydney.
This company works on large complex risks within:
Mining, Construction, Energy sectors.
This role is based in the Perth office.
You will be an Account Executive working closely with 2 Senior Brokers, and gaining fantastic one on one mentoring.
You will have access and exposure to clients that are predominantly International Operational Mining risks.
You will work closely with clients & overseas insurers, you will deal with policy adjustments, international money transfers, ensuring wordings received are correct, you will be exposed to some claims work, you will help with both new business placements and the marketing of renewals.
You will get full end to end exposure of the entire insurance program.
This will lead into a role where you will take on a portfolio of clients.
Due to the specialised nature, this role should be seen as career defining as you will be one of a very small number of individuals with the experience to handle international mining risks within the insurance sector.
Experience is NOT required in Operational Mining Insurance, however what is includes:
A broad knowledge of General Insurance Products
Tier 1 qualification
Someone who enjoys complex risks, who is open to learning about International Wordings, International Laws, making connections with global insurers ( as well as London).
Someone who is meticulous, who will ensure that wordings are read before acted upon.
Your role will be very different from an sme style broker. It will be complex, quite admin orientated, it will call for extreme care and due diligence, so an eye for detail is absolutely essential.
If you have 3-10 years experience in broking and see yourself as someone who enjoys the complexities of insurance, then this could be for you.
