Are you experienced in SME/Commercial insurance broker and have a keen interest in coaching and mentoring others? We have an outstanding opportunity for an Account Director to join a corporate, multi award-winning boutique brokerage, and rapidly growing insurance firm based on St Kilda road.

Reporting to the Head of Broking and the Operations Manager, the Account Director ensures that clients enjoy an exceptional partnership driven by best-in-class service and advice. Their broking advice covers Corporate, SME, Financial Lines and Personal Lines.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining a portfolio of accounts including new business, questionnaires, renewals, quotes, endorsements, addendums, cancellations and debtors
  • Conducting strategic account reviews, forecasting growth opportunities, preparing sales plans and taking full end-to-end responsibility for delivering sales targets
  • Building and maintaining an exemplary reputation with clients and within the insurance industry
  • Negotiating with insurers and underwriters to obtain the best outcome for our clients
  • Ensuring efficient workflows and the appropriate distribution of work within the team and collaboratively across teams
  • Liaising with the Claims department for the effective and timely resolution of claims
  • With the Head of Broking, manage escalations of Broking matters within your team
  • Working with the Head of Broking and Operations Manager, implementing continuous improvement strategies to set and maintain best-in-class service standards and adherence to budget
  • Driving the team to ensure they exceed set targets and KPIs

WHO ARE YOU?
The ideal candidate will excel in managing, developing, and maintaining long-term, meaningful relationships with key clients at all levels.

The successful candidate will also –

  • Have genuine passion for customer service and the ability to inspire and lead others
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Senior Account Manager with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Strong technical understanding of a broad range of insurance products and risk solutions
  • Proven success in driving business growth
  • Outstanding networking skills with a commercial approach and the ability to close deals
  • Ability to engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders for company success
  • Experience with WinBEAT or Insight, OfficeTech, and broking platforms including SCTP and Sunrise Tier 1 Broking qualification
