About the role

We have been engaged by a leading national privately owned broking group to find them a high level broker capable of managing and leading a team, while also working with the Director of servicing key clients, while building a strategy for long term portfolio growth.

This unique role is truly “all about you and the client”.
You will be involved in:
High level renewal negotiations with insurers and clients
Placing new business into the national insurer market.
Overseeing and advising on high level complex claims.
Delegating day to day administration to the team working around you.
Up-skilling and mentoring the team.

Your clients will be large commercial/mid corporate risks from all business backgrounds and may also include some Agri risks.

Key responsibilities

A Broker with at least 10 years market experience.
Strong knowledge of all GI products and placing markets.
A technical broker, but in addition, a broker who creates and can maintain strong external relationships.
A leader.
Someone who genuinely enjoys building the knowledge and skills of the team around you.

You must be able to think pro actively, always be ahead of what you think your client may need or ask. (this leads to happy clients and easy renewals !).

Key skills and experience

Tier 1 Insurance Broking
10 years plus Insurance Experience
Strong technical understanding of GI products.
A natural at creating and maintaining client/insurer relationships.
Someone experienced in team management and mentoring.
